New Jaguar Undergraduate Review

Identifying opportunities to introduce new propositions to create new revenue streams while providing a luxurious experience to the clients. Day-to-day work involves collaborating with global markets to understand the requirements and viability of potential propositions along with forecasting the financial implications of said propositions.

Within the first few weeks, I was trusted to own a proposition which at first seemed daunting but made me feel confident that I had the opportunity to make a difference. I was also given a chance by my team to present my work in front of board members and show the progress we had made.

I have significantly developed and improved my communication skills and my work involves engaging with multiple regions. Working on multiple tasks at once has allowed me to enhance my multitasking and time management skills. Apart from this, I have also increased my proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel. I have understood how to navigate situations that are dependent on other teams and what actions to take.

Throughout my placement, everyone in my team was extremely supporting and helpful. They were there whenever I needed them and not once did they try to ignore or neglect me. They truly put in their heart and soul to make sure I felt comfortable and answered any questions I had.

It was extremely light and not stressful at all. Everyone was empowered to take their own actions and make their own decisions without being questioned at every step. Although it was a business environment, everyone was extremely close with each other and treated each as a family rather than just work colleagues.

Joining JLR for my placement was the best decision I could have made. I have learned much more than I expected and got a plethora of opportunities to develop and showcase my skills. I had complete freedom over what I wanted to explore and everyone was supportive at every step
