coordinating different team members and completing any tasks other departments require from the sustainability department. I also covered many different projects such as the Sustainability report, charity work and KPI projects

I was given a huge amount of responsibility and trusted to manage teams and my own projects with little input until submission to my direct lead

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
At the beginning of my placement i struggled to find a huge amount of support as teams were so busy with their own workload. As the placement developed and i settled in, i gained a support system and found it a lot easier to ask for guidance.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture is extremely formal and hard working. The atmosphere is good once you have settled into the team however the expectations are very high.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I did enjoy my placement and i have found it very useful in my personal skill development. However, this is an extremely high-pressure placement and i did struggle with managing this numerous times.

What advice would you give to others applying to Aldi
Be prepared to have a large work load and manage the expectations of others. Do not accept more work than you can manage and find ways to manage your stress efficiently. I would also recommend getting involved in the team as they will be your support system
