Worked on multiple areas of the TopCashback codebase handling; day-to-day tasks, bugs, new projects for the company, speaking to other staff members in different parts of the company (including international staff), daily stand-up
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was put in charge of multiple projects for the company which added value. All of my work was passed into review which is standard for this company with any dev but apart from that I was trusted with all of the codebase and that I sufficiently tested my work

I received a decent amount support from my team and mentor although i felt like my mentor should've done more to support me as they always seemed too busy for me

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I have enjoyed quite a bit, at first i was overwhelmed but have integrated well and feel very confident in my role, i have enjoyed making friends at my placement also as some of the staff are my age range as they used to be placements not too long ago

What advice would you give to others applying to TopCashback
It's worth it as you can get offered a full time job after university and offered a zero hour contract during third year, which makes having a job after university super easy
