Marketing Intern Review

Writing emails, managing our internal viewing platforms, briefing in designs for assets and creating decks and various other sales tools.

My managers have given me a lot of responsibility throughout my internship when it comes to owning both small and large-scales projects. I've also been extended the responsibility of managing my own titles that come through the various content lines.

I've developed my creative cloud skills through this internship and my communication skills when it comes to design and creative direction.

I felt supported throughout the internship and felt that I could reach out for help when I needed to. It took me a while to get use to the role as I felt a little lost in what I was doing at the beginning, but I eventually found my interests and my niche and could put my hand up to get tasks that I enjoy. I've found it a bit harder to get advice from the HR team at the company.

The teams that I worked in were very friendly, and I think it probably comes down to the environment that our senior leadership fosters. Other teams might not necessarily get along as mine do. The company feels very open and relatively flexible, but it is a very large company at the end of the day, and enacting change is a very slow process. I also know that the culture in regards to career progression is poorer at the company which means that many interns have a hard time with receiving return offers.

I massively enjoyed my internship and genuinely felt like I've been able to get a lot out of it. I think I was extended a lot of responsibility and had some unique opportunities come my way in terms of work. I'm really glad with how my internship went and would not have gone for anything else.
