Supporting the team with month and quarter end tasks as required, such as preparing journals, as well as ad hoc projects like creating financial trackers.
Liaising with different departments locally and internationally both finance and non-finance to ensure up to date and accurate information is available to the relevant team in a timely manner.

I was given more responsibility than I expected. I am responsible for the month end closing for one of the books that we manage. This fully depends on me to prepare journals and liaise with stakeholders to so that i can accurately forecast the expected costs.
I was also responsible for the monthly intercompany recharges.

I have improved my oral and written communication skills through liaising with different stake holders on team call and via emails.
I have learnt new skills in Excel through daily use.

Quite a lot of support. The training was extensive during the 3 weeks handover period with the previous intern. After this, the team was still very supportive, being more than willing to answer all my questions and help me with anything i was struggling with.

Company is very relaxed. Everyone is more than happy to have a chat. The workload is very manageable with no pressure to finish tasks outside of working hours. The work-life balance is very encouraged.

I really enjoyed my time at NBCU. It is a great company and i got along great with my team. Would highly recommend if looking for a placement in a fun and relaxed environment where your development is put first.
