Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
• Communicating with vendors to process payments and set them up for payment on our system.
• Collaborated with internal teams to process invoices, set up payments, and maintain vendor relationships.
• Updating trackers to aid with cash forecasting.
• Monthly and quarterly journals and reconciliations.
• Investigation of the trial balance and completing additional journals to ensure debits and credits are allocated to correct G/L’s.
• Weekly and quarterly forecasting to see if we are adhering to budget.
• Working with the audit team to provide them with necessary documentation needed.
• Calculating royalties for various distributors,.

- Given Responsibility to personally look after the whole payment system and innovate and streamline processes within the organization
- Given Responsibility to aid within the close procedures within the company tackling my own reconciliations and journals
- Pushed to Work on things outside of my comfort zone and develop my skills
- Complete Forecasting with the opportunity to work individually or with aid down to preference
- Responsibility overall grows with experience in the role - towards the end of the role I completed all tasks individually, whereas at the start i recieved the necessary assistance

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
NBCUniversal has a large Intern Cohort (Around 100). This brings a good culture similar to what you would find on your course at university with lots of social events organized by the early carriers team.
The company also has a good culture and prioritizes development along with a healthy work life balance allowing interns to develop but not feel overwhelmed within their respective roles within the company

Enjoyed the role greatly, there is some of admin task which is expected, however i have been given responsibility to work on challenging tasks which has furthered my development.
