Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Prepare desk studies
Plan, and report on ground investigations to the requirements of EC7.
Provide engineering geological input, and parameter derivation, to the design of the following in both soil and rock:
Foundations and substructures
Slopes and assess stability
Earthworks
Reinforced earth structures
Provide input to of soil and rock mechanics analyses.
Classify rock masses using rock mass rating systems
Undertake budgeting and cost control
Prepare technical reports
Plan, and report on ground investigations to the requirements of EC7.

What advice would you give to others applying to Mott MacDonald
For the online application, spend a while on the questions as if it is a split up cover letter. Don't be general and include very specific reasons as to why the role and why the company. For example, include relevant module details, specific roles of the job that you want do and make reference to specific aspects of projects that the department has worked in. In the interview be smiley and be friendly.
