Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

As an Information Management placement student, my role is in supporting the development of contractual documents during a projects Tendering phase. This in particular involves Digital Strategies and BIM Execution Plans. Additionally, I am involved in smaller projects which involve data analysis and visualizations.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given extensive amounts responsibilities during my placement with the appropriate support from team and managers. I was challenged numerous times in order to grow and explore different aspects of projects. Responsibility can vary on the projects/ contracts and the scope involved.

I was given a lot of guidance and support during my internship from my entire team. I was able to voice my concerns and opinions, and have received good responses. My support during my placement was transparent and on a regular basis.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at Mott MacDonald. I feel lucky and blessed to work with the team I have been working with, as they have supported me with any concerns I had. I was given a variety of work, allowing me to experience different aspects of projects and tailor my skills as required.
