Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Report writing, assisting the PM with projects including commercial tasks, attending meetings either for projects or for wider learning, completing risk assessments, completing inspection reports. I also Interact and speak to senior members of staff of many disciplines and have used software such as AutoCAD to complete and amend site drawings and GIS to locate sites and information.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, most of the time I was given work to carry out on my own with the option to ask questions if I needed to.

Skills Developed:
Report writing.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

The support that is available to me has been the highlight of my placement, I have many people in the office that are happy to help and answer questions. When I required explanation, this was done in a way that was easy for me to follow and understand.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

I felt the company is very inclusive, and I felt included and supported in my office. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with socials being organised frequently so that people can get to know their colleagues out of the office.
