Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Students have the opportunity to network with MUFG colleagues from different business areas, and learnt more about the different roles in one of the world's largest banks. Students also gained insights into the recruitment process and how they could stand out when applying to MUFG.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The different business areas and roles were clearly explained so that students with no technical background could understand the different functions of MUFG.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Improved commercial awareness of challenges affecting the banking industry as well as how different business areas are addressing tough market conditions. Strengthened networking skills by engaging with professionals from across MUFG which helped students to learn more about the different roles at MUFG.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
All the colleagues were very friendly and approachable, and they all reiterated that the Japanese culture of the bank means that being collaborative and supportive is heavily encouraged.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I thoroughly enjoyed the event as I got to speak to professionals in business areas that I was personally interested in, which helped me to further my understanding of the different functions of a bank.
