Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Communicating with other teams and making engineering decision to ensure safety and standard in design, mainly HS2 for this placement. Use of software and spreadsheet for engineer models.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was put in charge of an asset and allowed to supervise it from beginning to end (with the normal checking by others).

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

Little from Line Manager as they were busy or not assigned. Other members of team were very good and so was my assigned buddy. Presentation put on from summer placement students were extremely good + interesting.
