Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I was working within the operational risk team. My internship lasted 8 weeks. During this time, we had the opportunity to attend speaker sessions to aid our personal development and understanding of the company structure and the financial industry as a whole. I worked within the team, speaking to senior stakeholders and presenting my ideas to back during meetings. Alongside this I worked on a group project with other interns.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given my own individual project which resulted in designing and building a website by myself. This was a very rewarding task to finish. I also conducted research within a group of 3 to help the adviser service. This has led to our ideas being taken on by senior stakeholders. Overall, it feels like I have made meaningful contributions to the team's work.
