Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I would complete assigned tasks involving assessing a client's accounts. Typically this would be lead schedules or an early review of the accounts document. I'd have to attend relevant meetings with the team and/or client. I also had the opportunity to work at Canary Wharf, where a client is based, for a few days.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, all completed work contributed to helping actual clients, and I was able to work with one client in person for an extended period.

Definitely, I have a much more solid understanding of what goes into an audit, and my excel proficiency has improved massively.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I was always encouraged to ask questions were needed, and I was always given help if I asked. I was usually assigned to very helpful managers who clearly showed me what was expected of me.
