Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
The Data & Insights Intern is responsible for generating insights to support the effective delivery of various internal projects, typically through custom PowerBI dashboards.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Within the core role, the Data & Insights Intern supports senior stakeholders with the delivery of large internal projects, therefore is given substantial responsibility from day one.
In-line with Sage's culture of removing barriers, all Interns also have the opportunity to use their skills in other areas of the business through mediums called "gigs", enabling Interns to volunteer for other responsibilities they may be interested in.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
The Data & Insights Intern will develop skills in two key areas: business analysis and data analysis.
Due to working with many stakeholders, business analysis skills such as requirements elicitation are essential.
Responsible for developing custom dashboards, end-to-end data analysis skills are also essential such as ETL and EDA.
