Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Monitoring and analysing changes in the regulatory environment, identifying important trends and assessing the potential impact of these on Pfizer.
Presenting at meetings to advise on key issues and their potential impact.
Working with teams to develop and agree the Pfizer view on key issues and identify opportunities where Pfizer points of view can be used externally.
Provide input to the development of strategies and plans aimed at influencing the external regulatory environment.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes. I was given increased responsibility as the placement year went on.
Most notably I was given the opportunity to act as primary editor for a monthly information report. I was required to lead and co-ordinate the team to ensure the task was completed within the deadline.

Both my manager and mentor gave me fantastic support and guidance throughout the placement year. I had frequent 1:1s where we could discuss anything: work, career, personal.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture at Pfizer is very focused on employee wellness, and teams reflect this by integrating joy sessions into team meetings ( where we share personal/ professional moments that bring Joy). This is a fantastic way to build a positive work environment.
Working in a global team means that most meetings/ catch-ups are virtual, which means that the rapport you build with the team is more formal.
