Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I have been working on digitising certain manual processes in order to increase departmental efficiency. This has involved working independently on sub problems for a larger team that is focused on using digital methods to improve efficiency.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given a lot of independence to get pieces of code completed however this was always done while being guided by someone else so I wasn't coming up with the overall vision of any of my projects.

Pfizer was excellent providing support and guidance and I felt I always had people to go to for any given problem and people were always happy to help.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Pfizer's company culture is excellent as it truly feels like everyone is there to try and make a difference for patients. This is one of the biggest reasons that I shall be staying on at Pfizer at the end of my placement in a full time capacity.
