Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I was in a marketing role as part of the vaccines business unit. I was responsible for helping to create and approve the content for our website for health care professionals. I also worked on business analytics and insights projects. I also have helped with strategic planning and associated projects, including market research and social value.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a huge amount of responsibility and trust from my colleagues, whilst also being supported and taught along the way. I am really grateful for my experience.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have developed a huge range of skills. I have improved on my teamwork and collaboration skills whilst working with colleagues not only from my core marketing team, but also in other functions across the business. I have improved my communication and leadership skills as I have led on projects involving external agencies and global colleagues. I have also improved on my ability to problem solve as I have been trusted to take on challenging projects.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
We had an extensive training programme when we started which not only taught us about company policy, but also helped us with marketing skills as lots of us came from science degrees. learning continued throughout the year and my team and manager were very supportive in continuing to teach me new skills.
