Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
First week was mainly induction and introduction to EY. We were given a CSR project to work on throughout the course of internship. Starting from second week, we were more involved in the service line work.
The morning usually starts with checking emails and catch-up call with the engagement team, followed by engagement tasks. On lunch break, me and my fellow interns will try to have coffee chat with others. In the afternoon, we continue with our engagement tasks.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
-since we initiated conversations with different people from different service line, I was able to be introduced to the roles of other teams. It'd be great if we can switch around different service lines, and perhaps also extend the internship to have a greater insight.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
-networking skills for sure. Me and my fellow intern tried to talk to somebody new everyday, ideally someone from a different service line/different level.
-Had a better understanding in auditing process, and the specific line of service.
-I'd prefer to receive more technical trainings, e.g. organise taught sessions on technical knowledge within the service line/something applicable across all service lines.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
EY has really inclusive culture. Everyone I spoke to, at all levels and titles are very friendly and willing to share with us their work and experience. It is definitely less hierarchal compare to other companies which I appreciate a lot. The office setting is more like an open working space, which makes initiating a conversation with someone much easier.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
To a large extent. I had a great time meeting all the motivated and driven interns, which really helped me with envisioning my career options. I met a partner within my service line who's really humble and definitely someone I look up to. Conversation with him was eye-opening.

-read through the company values and see if they align with yours.
-talk to current employees at EY
-try to have some understanding on the service line you applying to through talking to people.
-technical understanding isn't compulsory in application stage. EY is very willing to develop talents. Focus on showing your enthusiasm in work and in growth.
