Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Ensure all candidates receive prompt feedback and appropriate guidance during the selection process.
Maintain various reports relating to recruits and joiners to the firm and produce analysis of such information when requested.
Plan and host our Virtual Career Focus days. Help deliver outcome calls. Hold Pre-Assessment Day Preparation calls for each candidate who has booked onto this, in order to provide support and useful information.
Provide support for our Schools and Campus strategy. Attend PwC's National Virtual Park Events, Regional Careers Fairs, Schools Events and other ad-hoc sessions ran by Student Recruitment.
Organise logistics for student recruitment attraction events. Source business Ambassadors for these by emailing and contacting relevant people from the business.
Support with the administration and onboarding of hires.
Attend a number of recruitment attraction events, with some evening and occasional weekends.
Process invoice payment requests appropriately.
Ownership of recruitment application pipelines.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes. There was definitely lots of autonomy over certain roles, however support was always available. There were certain tasks which I did not get the chance to be involved in, whilst others did. However I can likewise say I had certain responsibilities that others did not.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very good. The culture within my team specifically was very encouraging. Work life balance was highly valued and flexible working/ autonomous working/ wellbeing was encouraged. We had training webinars, a wellbeing team and frequent check-ins to ensure we never felt overwhelmed or discouraged, particularly during peak recruitment seasons when workload could be heavier.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I really enjoyed it. However I do feel that virtual working has it's limitations and I could've gotten more from this year in person.
