Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

I worked in my department for the week where I would complete tasks set by team. I had the chance to interact with members in the department that I sat in and others in different departments. There were sessions set at the beginning of the week which gave further insight into Gateley. There was also a chance to understand the departments at Gateley through the department presentations.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

There were many opportunities to understand and learn about the business whether this was through sessions in the week or through individual conversations. By having these opportunities, this helped develop my understanding of the business in many ways.

I have learnt to step out of my comfort zone and have the confidence to approach other people in different departments to initiate a conversation. By doing this, I was able to have insightful and helpful discussions with many different people.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The atmosphere is very welcoming. Everyone is approachable, sociable and supportive whether this is in person or on teams. I have experienced a positive working environment.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

I have enjoyed every aspect of the insight. My experience working in my department has been enjoyable, as the team were very welcoming and I was able to engage in a variety of tasks which broadened my knowledge. I also found the sessions insightful as I was able to learn much more.
