Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
I was placed in the commercial dispute resolution team. During the vacation scheme we had talks from solicitors employed in a multitude of Gateley's teams as well as talks from head partners.
This position involved: drafting letters, reviewing legal documents, summarising reports, constructing arguments, taking minutes & attending client meetings.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The vacation scheme has helped me understand what Gateley is all about & what i will be doing if i manage to get a training contract here.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Gateley
During the application process, make sure that you have no spelling or grammar errors in your application - they will be noticed and they will disqualify you. On the vacation scheme - be as sociable as possible without being weird about it. If someone is obviously busy leave them be but do not feel intimidated by partners - go and speak to them.
