Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Communicating and collaborating with over 50 subsidiaries to manage daily cash forecasts
Reporting monthly treasury activites. Repeating daily cash activites.
Daily market reports for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Responding to adhoc requests from HQ and the Treasurer.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Was given a vast amount of responsibility for day to day activities, in addition to being responsible for important reports.
Have been given great responsibility regarding cash forecasting and various projects to assist the treasury team.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The culture may come as a shock to many employees. However it can be very interesting. As Samsung comes from South Korea there is a very hard working culture.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

Massively enjoyed the placement, have been able to gain a great amount of experience. This will most definitely set me up for a future career within the industry.
