Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I am responsible for supporting the team in managing the development and execution of styles from concept to launch. I assist the team to bring to market, world class, fit for purpose product, built and engineered to Gymshark standards. I am responsible for the day to day operational tasks, to deliver the goals and objectives as set by my Manager.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, at the final quarter of my internship I was really given a chance to show off what I had learnt from the year and it was given a very important role in my team that required a lot of responsibility and trust.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
My technical and transferable skills have both developed hugely. Learnt lots of new technical skills that i will carry with me for life. I have learnt lots about the working world and how my skills from university adapt to a real job and also how my transferable skills have changed since working for a big company and wider teams.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
SO much support. My manager and I created a development plan at the start of the year of what she expected from me and what she wanted me to learn by the end of the year and then I could also add what I wanted to gwt out of the year. We completed everything by the final quarter of the year.

Really fun culture. Friendly employees. Interns never treated like they are lower down.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I loved my placement! I learnt so much in terms of my job role and had so many opportunities. I also had so many opportunities to get involved in lots of other areas of the business, such as many fundraising/charity opportunities.
