Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Working together with different people around the company and in external companies. Receiving and providing technical data to and from companies and teams, and handling communications. Planning and organising long integration activities and generating timescales for integration development. Interpreting requirements and validating systems to them. Certifying, testing and ordering equipment. Performing trials.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, A lot of responsibility. I was entrusted with very important tasks and became a lead on a subject in my team, being the main point of contact for external customers on a project that will benefit the company greatly.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have massively developed communication and team working, I use these skills daily and this also contributes to a boost in confidence. I have developed my adaptability, changing tasks and roles almost every other week in the fast paced role.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I constantly had a whole team that was ready to support me and answer my questions. My manager and line manager monitored my objectives and regularly caught up with me on the progress of my work. Due to the nature of my role the work I did was always authorised by them and therefore constant checks were done with them.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Amazing. Everyone was so friendly and willing to support. People were very encouraged to reach out to other teams and expand their network. Numerous events and briefings alowed for this. The benefits and bonuses were great and the work place at Stevenage was really open and campus-like.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
It was super. I think I got very lucky as I did not know how good MBDA would be. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a placement.
