About the role

As a Project Manager Apprentice at Morson Group, you will support the successful delivery of projects across the organisation, helping to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and to agreed quality standards.

You will work closely with experienced project managers, contributing to planning, coordination, and monitoring activities while developing your knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. This role will give you hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle, from initiation through to delivery and evaluation.

Your apprenticeship will be a structured learning journey combining practical workplace experience with formal training aligned to the Level 4 Associate Project Manager standard. You will build core skills in stakeholder management, risk management, governance, budgeting, and communication.

This 18-month apprenticeship provides a strong foundation for a long-term career in project management, with progression opportunities into Project Manager roles or further study at Level 5 or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of projects in line with organisational objectives.
  • Assist in defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Help track project progress, identify risks and issues, and support mitigation actions.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and governance records.
  • Assist with resource planning and coordination across project teams.
  • Support project meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on actions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes and practices.
  • Develop knowledge of project management frameworks such as Agile or Waterfall.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and project governance standards.

  • Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines.
  • No prior project management experience required – full training will be provided.

Entry requirements

  • Level 3 Qualification (Apprenticeship/A Levels/BTEC etc.) OR equivalent work experience (typically 2 years in a relevant role)
  • 5 x GCSE’s including English & Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.
  • You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
  • If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours

  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
