Job Description

Keedwell Scotland is a well-established UK logistics and transport business known for delivering reliable, efficient distribution services. Operating from its Bothwell depot, the company plays a key role in coordinating nationwide haulage operations, supporting a broad customer base across multiple sectors.

With a strong focus on service quality, safety, and operational efficiency, Keedwell Scotland’s Traffic and Haulage teams work closely together to plan routes, manage vehicle movements, and ensure timely deliveries. The teams offer a fast-paced, supportive environment where apprentices can gain hands-on experience in transport planning, fleet coordination, and day-to-day logistics operations, developing valuable skills for a long-term career in the industry.

What will I be doing?

  • First responder to incoming enquiries from clients and acting as first response for the office email ticketing system on Microsoft Outlook, triaging phone calls and ticketed emails to the relevant team member.
  • Become a “superuser” on Mandata – transport management software – inputting jobs, managing routings and handling daily operations for haulage and distribution to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Maintain and organise the digital filing system on their internal bespoke filing system.
  • Booking jobs, updating customers and internal databases using TPN Connect, to ensure all information logged is up-to-date both internally and externally.
  • Monitor tracking of vehicles and updating route plans with any changes on Mandata and TPN Connect, ensuring accurate updates and visibility to customers.
  • Using Microsoft Excel to input and update data to internal spreadsheets, ensuring accurate information and efficient cross-communication between teams and drivers.
  • Act as a link with the Haulage team to process documents in a timely manner to ensure efficient workflow.

What you'll bring:

  • A genuine eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive attitude - willing to ask questions, seek feedback, and take initiative.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to completing the apprenticeship program.

Salary:

  • £18,000 per annum.

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Why you'll love it here:

  • Structured learning plan with clear milestones and feedback.
  • One-on-one mentorship from experienced professionals.
  • A friendly, inclusive workplace where your growth is our priority.
  • On-site parking and good public transport links

Future prospects:

  • 90% of QA apprentices secure permanent employment after completing: this is 20% higher than the national average.
