Job Description

About the role

The primary requirement of this role will be to offer white-glove support for all our users, who expect highly responsive, high-quality support as well as clear communication, and strong discretion/judgement. The successful candidate will be a reliable, safe pair of hands, who can work independently while also contributing to the efforts of the global GTS team and complying with group standards and procedures.

The role is office-based, and the successful candidate should expect to be onsite 5 days a week. Due to the critical nature of this role, a flexible schedule is required to work as required which very occasionally may include evenings and/or weekends. Occasional travel may be required to provide support to other offices.

Responsibilities

  • Service desk support – consistently deliver high quality 1st and 2nd level support, including identifying, researching, and resolving technical issues
  • Security, systems & cloud administration – for specific systems (mainly the Microsoft 365 suite) configure, maintain, test, and support systems and applications
  • Automation of key support tasks to improve efficiency and creation of end user documentation to improve user self-service
  • Local infrastructure maintenance and asset management
  • Regular reporting and communication with overseas teams

Entry requirements

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
  • You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
  • If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours

  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm (occasional weekend work may be required, but time off in lieu will be given for this)
