Description

They are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an apprentice. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our office operations, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting, and contributing to the growth of our firm. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to kickstart their career in this industry!

Responsibilities

  • Become a systems expert on Bright Manager, updating and maintaining accurate client and learner records, ensuring information is consistent, complete, and GDPR‑compliant
  • First response to managing diaries, schedule meetings, handle correspondence, and maintain accurate digital filing systems
  • Assist with invoicing and credit control activities using Xero, including raising invoices, recording payments, and monitoring outstanding balances
  • Support compliance and accountancy tasks by completing process checklists, uploading documentation, and assisting with reporting requirements
  • Learn and use Bright Manager for learner management, progress tracking, and client tasks
  • Using collaborative tech such as teams, email, calendars, and document management tools to support day‑to‑day operations
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and provide wider team support by following instructions, using relevant systems, and meeting business deadlines

Required skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or willingness to learn (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new accounting software
  • A strong desire to pursue a career in accounting

Salary

  • £16,000 - £17,000 per annum

Working week

  • 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
