Job Description
Marketing Degree Apprenticeship - Coventry
Location: Coventry
Apprentice Level: UK Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship Programme
Salary: £23,000
Role Mission:
We are looking for a Marketing Apprentice with strong curiosity, creativity, and drive to support the growth of Schneider Electric UK&I. You will report into the UK&I Industrial and Process Automation Marketing Leader and play a key role in operational marketing execution and internal communications.
You will support the delivery of marketing activities, communication plans, digital content, and stakeholder engagement initiatives that align with our business priorities. Working as part of a professional and collaborative team, you will learn how marketing truly operates inside a large, matrixed commercial organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing operational marketing activities across the Industrial & Process Automation business.
- Support the deployment of campaigns, customer events, webinars, and product launches.
- Help develop marketing assets such as presentations, internal briefs, event materials, and digital content.
- Track and report on campaign milestones, timelines, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with product, channel, and commercial teams to ensure alignment and stakeholder readiness.
- Support the creation and distribution of internal communications (newsletters, announcements, intranet posts, leadership updates).
- Manage content updates on internal channels and support local adoption of global communication initiatives.
- Support social media content development (internal focus), storytelling, and content creation.
- Work with marketing tools to update assets, track engagement, and coordinate content calendars.
- Assist with internal event coordination (Town Halls, team meetings, internal campaigns).
Training:
During your apprenticeship, you will receive two different types of training.
‘On-the-job’ training will be delivered by Schneider Electric, as your employer. You’ll receive training and supervision to help you perform the job you’ve been hired to do. This will include skills and knowledge that fall outside of the apprenticeship but are needed for the job role. As well as providing ‘on-the-job’ training, it is important that we support you in additional ways to ensure your success.
Types of support will include:
- A comprehensive induction
- Mentoring or regular one-to-one guidance
- Social enrichment and networking opportunities
- Performance reviews
- Mental health and wellbeing support
- Feedback opportunities
‘Off-the-job’ training is delivered by one of our carefully selected Training Providers during your normal working hours. You will spend at least 20% (average 6 hours per week) of your working hours completing ‘off-the-job’ training. This is protected time and is a requirement for apprenticeship delivery. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills, and behaviours set out in the apprenticeship standard so you can achieve occupational competence.
Work Pattern
37.5 hours per week to be worked from Monday to Friday.
Exact start and finish times are to be agreed upon with Line Manager. Some of these hours will be allocated to off-the-job training as part of your Apprenticeship Programme.
