Job Description

Data Analyst Higher Apprenticeship

FIND YOUR FUTURE IN DATA

Our Collections Strategy team are the ones responsible for keeping daily operations running through accurate reporting and clear data insight. Grow your potential as a Data Analyst Apprentice and help make real decisions from day one, earning a starting salary of £24,000 whilst doing it.

Make things happen

As an apprentice, you’ll work at the centre of how we analyse, manage, and understand data linked to customer arrears. You’ll be responsible for turning raw data into insights that guide how and when we reach out to our customers. As you progress through your apprenticeship, we’ll ensure you’re confident working with arrears performance data, spotting unusual trends, and explaining what the data really means so you can exceed in a data driven career at Virgin Media O2. Day-to-day, you could be:

  • Producing daily performance and activity reports that keep operations moving
  • Investigating shifts in arrears patterns and identifying what’s driving them
  • Reviewing customer profiles and behaviours to explain changes or emerging issues

We’re a flexible-first organisation because we believe people do their best work with choice and clarity. To support meaningful collaboration, we ask everyone to connect in person at least eight days a month. That could mean time in the office, volunteering days, or away days - anywhere collaboration happens.

Bring your authentic self

We’re looking for motivated candidates who are passionate about technology and keen to help us evolve in this space. To be eligible, you’ll need at least five GCSEs at Level 4–9 (or equivalent). Experience with tools like SQL or Excel is a bonus but not required - what matters most is your passion to learn, attention to detail, and ability to work within a team.

With inclusivity at the heart of everything we do, we’re 100% committed to having a workforce that represents every part of our society, so we’re keen to hear from candidates of all backgrounds and circumstances. We’re an equal opportunities employer, embedding equity and inclusion into everything we do - from the policies we craft to the relationships we build. We believe an inclusive, diverse culture makes for a better business and a brighter world. The only barrier to applying would be if you didn’t have the right to work in the UK.

What’s in it for you

You’ll be making a huge impact from day one. Not only will you be supported towards your Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship, but you’ll grow your technical and problem-solving skills quickly through continued shadowing of expert team members. Join us on a starting salary of £24,000, with final landing salaries starting from £27,000 upon successful completion. Plus, you can enjoy our amazing benefits, including:

  • A minimum of 23 days holiday, plus your birthday off!
  • Flexible benefits package including 10% matched pension contribution, holiday buying and selling, and discounts on shopping, travel and more
  • Private Bupa healthcare
  • Up to 26 weeks’ paid maternity & adoption leave, plus generous paternity and neonatal leave

…and plenty more to support you inside and outside of work!

What is involved with studying for an apprenticeship?

The programme is fully funded by us, and we’ll support you from day one, ensuring you complete your apprenticeship with a nationally recognised qualification.
