Job Description

Strategy and Transformation Placement Programme

About The Role

The Electric team at Motability Operations is helping to shape the future of accessible electric mobility — from home charging and public infrastructure to energy services and EV customer education.

As part of our 12-month placement programme, you’ll work across several squads and workstreams, supporting live projects that are already delivering for over 800,000 customers across the UK.

This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in a high-impact, delivery-focused environment, where you’ll support product managers, analysts, and subject matter experts to help bring electric products and services to life.

If you’re curious, collaborative, and motivated by real-world change — this could be the role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting live projects across different squads (Home Charging, Energy, Charging on the Go, Discovery)
  • Helping gather insights, track progress, and contribute to problem-solving within delivery teams
  • Working with colleagues across product, design, data, operations, and partnerships
  • Supporting internal communications, process improvements, and workshop coordination
  • Taking ownership of defined tasks or mini-projects as part of squad objectives

Our 12-month placement programme is built on three key pillars:

Making an Impact, Personal Development and the Project.

Making an Impact – get involved in meaningful work that adds real value from day one. You’ll support your team’s goals and help deliver work that makes a difference – for your team, and for the people we do it all for: our customers.

Personal Development – build your confidence and skills through mentoring, learning sessions and events – all designed to support your growth and goals.

The Project – work with other students to lead a project that creates real, positive impact.

Our programmes go above and beyond just the day job. You’ll gain valuable experience in your chosen business area while also having the space and opportunity to challenge yourself and develop your skills.

We are looking for candidates who are:

  • Team players, eager to get involved and proactive in making the most of every opportunity
  • Confident presenter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have good commercial awareness

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and data

Minimum criteria

You’ll need all of these.

  • Thriving in the second year of your degree that includes a year in industry
  • Excited to join us in our London office at least three days a week
  • Eager to start in July 2026
