Introducing our new and exciting Data Engineering Apprentice scheme!

This scheme offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of IT within the world’s largest food & drink manufacturer. Throughout the scheme, you’ll develop a deep understanding of various aspects, including data collection, data transformation, data integration coupled with data pipeline development, analysis and visualisation. This Apprenticeship scheme is designed to provide hands-on experience and comprehensive training in the field of data engineering.

This Apprenticeship program spans 3 years, allowing you to dedicate 20% of your time to learning and studying, while spending the remaining 80% in your role, gaining hands-on experience. If you are enthusiastic about kickstarting your IT career, we are excited to hear from you.

What can you expect?

Get ready to join a team of talented data specialists and dive into the exciting world of data engineering. Together, we'll create and maintain data pipelines, ensuring smooth and efficient data flow for our reporting and analytics needs. You'll have the chance to unleash your creativity by designing and building analytics dashboards, tools and reports, and contributing to the optimisation and deployment of the supporting data architecture such as local databases and shared data domains. We'll also empower you to contribute to the development of innovative data integration solutions, data warehousing, and data governance frameworks.

During the scheme, you will develop expertise while working alongside experienced professionals, gaining valuable skills and knowledge to kick-start your career in this rapidly growing industry.

You will be studying the L5 Data Engineer Apprenticeship. By the end of the scheme, you will be fully equipped to take the next step in your IT career.

Entry requirements

You’ll need 3 A level (or equivalent qualifications) at Grade 5, with at least one of those qualifications in a STEM subject such as Maths, Computer Science, or Physics. You’ll also need Maths and English Language GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 9-4 (A*-C if taken before 2017).

You’ll also need the right to work in the UK that is not time limited and does not require sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route either at the start of the scheme or on completion, and you will need to be 18 years old by 1st September 2026.
