Current Team Information

The farming industry is constantly evolving. The Savills Food and Farming team consists of 45 consultants across 12 offices throughout England and Scotland, making it one of the largest agricultural consultancy teams in the country.

Despite its size, the team prides itself on delivering a personable and bespoke service to clients. Their work can be broadly split into two categories:

  • Management – supporting clients with day-to-day farm management
  • Consultancy – providing assistance with ad-hoc projects and one-off assignments

The team supports all major agricultural sectors including:

  • Arable
  • Horticulture
  • Beef
  • Sheep
  • Dairy
  • Pig
  • Poultry enterprises

With new challenges in sustainability, food production, and changing agricultural policy, the industry is full of opportunities. To meet increasing client demand, the Savills Food & Farming team is expanding.

Roles are based in: Inverness, Perth, and Salisbury

About This Role

As a Savills Food and Farming Graduate, you will gain experience in areas such as:

  • Farm business management
  • Financial reporting

  • Environmental management

Graduates will develop technical expertise relevant to their region and local farming businesses, while also building consultancy skills and industry knowledge. This is achieved through:

Training

The Savills Food & Farming Graduate Pathway is unique in the industry, designed to create genuine experts. Training includes:

  • BIAC Foundation Courses 1 & 2 (within the first two years)
  • Bespoke in-house training developed by the Food & Farming team

Career Development

After completing the 2-year programme:

  • You’ll submit a report summarising your experience
  • Attend a final interview
  • Progress to become a fully qualified Food and Farming Consultant

Post-programme, further development opportunities include:

  • Management and Leadership Programme
  • Client and Business Skills sessions
  • A full programme of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events

Salary

£26,000 and £1,000 sign-on bonus
