Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My first rotation involved amending and creating powerpoints and excel sheets. In addition, I completed weekly presentations and pitches to employees in the primary addition which I completed in groups with other interns. My second rotations focused more on networking and shadowing other employees. I was able to gain a comprehensive understanding of the sales and trading floor after this.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a fair amount of responsibility but everything was checked over by the manager.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I learnt how to work in a professional environment. I learnt much about the finance industry, particularly in hybrid bond structuring and rates repo sales and trading.
