All our apprentices, no matter which role they are in, receive ample support from their managers, buddies, the apprenticeship team as well as the WTW Young Professionals Network (YPN). It’s no wonder so many of our apprentices choose to stay with us after they’ve completed their studies! 

Let’s take a moment to speak with Lucy, who is a Payroll Apprentice at WTW, and a member of the YPN: 

Hi Lucy! Why did you choose to join the YPN?

I joined because I wanted to increase my network and wider knowledge of WTW. I was able to get involved with sessions that the YPN were organising, and I was able to communicate with a variety of employees which massively helped me build my profile. WTW is an exceptionally large company, and I knew I had to try and put myself out there!

What kind of things do you do in the YPN?

Joining the YPN has opened many opportunities for me. For example, I attended a meeting in London with the Head of WTW Great Britain, and the Head of Health, Wealth and Career. Without being involved in the YPN, I probably wouldn’t have been able to attend this type of meeting. It was a brilliant chance to network and hear about Senior Leaders’ experiences!

Due to my commitment to the YPN and my successful apprenticeship, I was invited to attend Celebration Drinks Hosted by the Great Britain Senior Leadership Team in London. Again, without the hard work, dedication and commitment, these types of opportunities / events may not have been possible for me.
