Ellie completed the Primark Buying Placement Programme. She achieved so much in such a short period of time and had fun along the way. Here’s her recap.
From not studying buying at uni to feeling right at home in the role - this year has been everything I hoped for and more. I've learned so much, worked on the coolest projects, and felt truly part of the team. I can't believe it's over! I'll miss it massively and would 100% recommend a placement here to any student with a passion for fashion and retail.
Starting a new chapter in Dublin
I relocated solo to a new city and quickly found my feet with the support of the Early Careers team — building friendships, confidence, and thriving in a global business.
Presenting to senior leadership
I had the opportunity to deliver product sign-offs in front of the Trading Director and leadership team — building trust and visibility across the business.
Seeing my work hit stores
I watched products I contributed to go from concept to shelf. These were surreal full-circle moments that I’ll never forget.

I worked as a content creator on Primarks careers TikTok with my videos reaching over 200K+ views!
Pitching to the leadership team
I co-led our Forward Think project, presenting an innovative business concept to Primark’s directors and receiving amazing feedback.
Experiencing the industry beyond the office
From supplier dinners to live podcast recordings and exclusive events, I’ve had so many pinch-me moments that I’ll never forget. I’m so grateful for every opportunity!
Making memories across Ireland
From match days at the Aviva to weekend adventures, this year gave me the chance to explore places I’d never have seen otherwise and it was unforgettable in every way.
