What did you study at school and how does that relate to your interest in property?
I went on to study Planning, which closely links to property through land use, development, and policy. It gave me a strong foundation in how developments are designed, assessed, and delivered.
Can you give us a summary of your route into property?
I completed an undergraduate and master’s degree in Planning, followed by internships at property consultancies. These experiences gave me insight into different areas of the industry, discovering my interests in surveying and infrastructure. I then joined Carter Jonas through the graduate scheme as a Graduate Infrastructure Surveyor.
What attracted you to Carter Jonas?
Its strong reputation in infrastructure work and the variety of projects involved attracted me. The support for APC progression is also great with lots of training and resources.
How are you finding the apprenticeship/graduate/placement route?
I really enjoy the great variety in projects. The graduate scheme is well-structured, with plenty of training sessions and resources available. I’ve also benefited from guidance from senior colleagues and mentors.
