Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Running preliminary simulations, writing software, designing hardware and running tests on power electronics

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Due to the small nature of the team, my work was mostly unsupervised so had lots of responsibility to myself to get the work done and be motivated. The work is R&D with no definitive deadline however

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

Very much so, the casual atmosphere made for a welcoming and enjoyable work environment and the nature of work made the day interesting and enjoyable. The change of schedule was initially shocking but was adjusted to over time
