Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role varies every day which keeps it interesting. What I'll be doing depends on what projects we're currently working on. For example, it could be assisting in briefing in YouTube videos to support priority brands, pulling data to help decide what marketing support certain brands need etc.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes - they don't just treat you like an 'intern'. You're given real responsibilities and can see your work impacting the company, which is nice for such a large organization.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Both - developed skills include standard skills used in most jobs (e.g. teamwork, perseverance etc.), and new skills too (e.g. being proactive - which has especially been needed from having to work from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic).

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
As much as was needed - people (including my manager) often reached out to me, especially at the start, which was particularly helpful as having to start a new job working from home did take some getting used to.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I've absolutely loved my internship and am so glad I got the opportunity to do it. I've learnt so much and grown so much as a person, giving me the confidence for whatever my next job is. I can't recommend doing a placement or internship more - I almost didn't apply for one and my confidence in work would be so different if I hadn't done it. University is helpful for teaching you theories, but actual experience teaches you some things university can't.

When you're in your interview or assessment day, obviously present yourself as best you can, but still 'be yourself', as they'll be looking to see if you'll fit in with the team, as well as what your skills are like.
