Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I prepare and roll-forward statutory accounts required for each business entity, working throughout the audit process to respond to audit queries and sample requirements. I also prepare analysis for VAT Code review. On a daily basis I will set up meeting with and respond to sample requests from external auditors.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a lot of responsibility, taking on the roles of two interns by preparing and completing tasks for both the TV Production and Studios Leavesden teams.

I have developed my skills on various software like Excel and SAP whilst also learning how to communicate within a professional setting. I've enhanced my time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks

A lot - quarterly reviews with my line managers where I was given feedback to take on board and reflections of how my previous performance had been.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very positive despite the business' current state of affairs and the wider context of the firm. A heavy focus on Inclusivity and Diversity and celebration of many of the projects created by the company but also the people themselves.

It's a difficult time for the company at the moment given the recent merger - I've always loved the company and it was an honour to work there but, I'm not too confident in the future of WBD.
