Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The in-person days consisted of large and small-group presentations, desk-shadowing opportunities across the various divisions in the bank that were highly insightful, as well as sessions designed to facilitate up-skilling of important interpersonal traits for career success. The two online days consisted of group activities and informative sessions designed to help interns get to know each other as well as how the bank operates.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was really fascinating as someone who is pursuing a career within investment banking to be able to see day-to-day operations in-person of those within such roles, and be able to ask them for tips and a more personal detailing of advice for how to break into such a competitive industry. Overall it was a really great experience that has only further facilitated in centring my career endeavours.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture had a really good combination of being considerate of the needs of the employee's yet also of wanting to be the best. Moreover, the company placed a lot of emphasis on ensuring a high level of diligence on client-centricity and sustainable performance.

I would advise making sure you do your research on the company and be sure that you feel your own values align with that of the company's as well as making sure your commercial awareness is up to date - this can be done by ensuring you read a publication like the FT everyday.
