Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Each day involved a series of panels, where we got the opportunity to listen to various members of the firm speak about their experiences and their day to day professional life. We also had ample time for socialising and networking, both in and out of the office.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Everyone in the firm was adamant that the interns and trainees are the future of the firm, thus I felt extremely reassured in my place as an insight attendee. I am confident and excited about the prospect of a potential role within the firm in the future, and this is a testament to the glowing accounts of every employee that I spoke to.

I have certainly developed multiple existing skills, including networking, public speaking and self-organisation, and also learned some new ones, including litigation and presenting information as a group.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The atmosphere as extremely open and welcoming - I did not once feel like a stranger or even a guest, I was made me feel like a part of the firm from the moment I walked in. All of the trainees and other employees raved about the culture of the firm, and assured me that they maintain a good work-life balance.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I only have positive feedback to give about my experience of the insight programme - I enjoyed it immensely and would recommend it to first and second years of any discipline.

I would advise them to research the firm thoroughly prior to applying, and have clear motivations for applying. I would also advise them to emphasis their differences, because they will allow them to stand out.
