Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Day-to-day role revolved around being part of a mixed-discipline CE&I team; I would work through technical documents and drawings and complete work to the company's, British and International Standards.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a fair amount of responsibility and freedom to complete the assigned work packages. Regular meetings with my Line Manager and Mentor ensured I was making the most out of my time with the company.

Being new to Nuclear, I learnt a vast amount about the process and, with that, both the environmental and physical safety required for working in the industry.

Sellafield is truly great at career progression and investment. I was introduced to Professional Registration within the IET, and with that, I achieved my Engineering Technician status.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Within my team, it was really good, a great sense of quality and things being completed correctly, rather than being rushed.
