Overall, how would you describe your experience at Sellafield Ltd?
Sellafield works on really fascinating engineering topics and from the point of view of someone interested in nuclear engineering it is an excellent company to work for. The work culture for graduates is quite relaxed (much more than an engineering degree) but there is still enough work for you to do if you ask and keep want to keep yourself busy. A lot of emphasis is placed on your professional development and chartership, which is helpful. You get 4 6-month long placements in different parts of the business so you can choose which you want to join at the end.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Unfortunately most of the role is paperwork and engineering standards. However, this is the case at almost any engineering company. Depending on your placement, you might get to spend some time doing engineering drawings, which is substantially more interesting.

How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

The pay is the best of any non-consultancy graduate scheme I have ever seen in the UK. Pay is more than £42k with annual bonuses of up to £4k. I don't know anyone in their early 20s not working at Sellafield who earns close to this.
