Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
On a day to day basis I would be writing reports, having meetings about trialling work, CAD design and solving engineering problems. This was all to enable the decommissioning of redundant plants on the Sellafield site.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes. I showed a proactive and engaged attitude which allowed me to take the opportunity to mentor and support some young apprentices.

My team was very friendly, relaxed and I always preferred working in the office. Everybody was approachable and offered help if needed.
