Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

It involved conducting reports on sites with our CCTV cameras. Investigating faults and issues and relaying that back to the customer

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Absolutely i was given responsibility from the beginning to handle high pressure callas with customer upload reports and work on troubleshooting tower issues

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Yes certainly my communication and problems solving skills which have developed a huge amount just in terms of styles of how ti communicate with different teams customers and engineers while also identifying when i should potentially raise a visit for an issue or if i can remotely resolve it from the office

It was quite extensive from the university they checked up every month to ensure i was doing okay while my manager did monthly meeting with me to discuss my progress

It was great everyone was really kind, patient and understanding. It really felt like a family

I enjoyed it a lot made lots of new friends what i love too is that it’s not all about work sometimes you can have a laugh and have different types of conversations

That they should definitely give it a go i believe Man met are a really good uni and i really believe that they want students to do well especially with their placement initiatives they really do push for that which can give students a big advantage
