3 days Spring intern placement at the Manchester Office
• Site visit to Manchester Old Town Hall
• Insight into the construction industry and how Mace operates as a construction/consultant firm

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Communicated very well, had a wide variety of speakers from different sectors within the business to present and explain their roles

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Networking skills improved dramatically as we had the opportunity to speak to current senior staff members at the office at the end of each day.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Everyone I spoke to was friendly, the culture was good, and everyone seems to get along and were told they go to the pub on fridays

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I enjoyed it tremendously. I learned a lot about the industry and the firm. I made friends on the program as well, and to this date have still kept in touch. The firm has strong values and ambitions. I will definitely be applying to the Industrial year long placements

Have relevant work experience, even if its unpaid short one week experience placement, it will still help tremendously as it shows you really do have passion about the industry
