Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Learning about different ideas and presenting my learnings back to senior leaders.
Helping roll out empathy training for about 250 colleagues by taking attendance and keeping track of survey responses.
Collaborating with other interns across the UK to come up with an idea for how Barclays can improve youth banking relationships, and presenting our proposal in London to senior leaders.
Creating reporting packs for different areas of the business and using AI to automate the process.

A lot of support was always available if we needed it. Managers and colleagues were always happy to share their knowledge and answer any questions we had, big or small.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
I loved the culture - it was friendly and welcoming from day 1. It felt like everyone was invested in our success and eager to share their experiences. The on-site staff who worked in the canteen were also lovely and always had a smile on their faces.
