What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Writing code, reviewing code, writing documentation.
I enjoyed that it wasn’t rigid in the work I was doing, I had opportunities to try out different things and get on projects where I wasn’t strictly just doing software.

Really good support overall from HR and line managers.
However it can be easy to slip through the cracks, sometimes I have had to really reach out ti get the support I need.

Great. Half days on Fridays and lots of flexibility to start and finish when you want to, as well as working from home / hybrid

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Thales?
The last stage of the process is an assessment day.
Mine was conducted online and featured some interviews and group challenges.
My advice for the group challenges is do not be afraid to be yourself, rock the boat and challenge the status quo. Show initiative and don’t blindly agree with people in your group. Your ability to push back, state your points and reasoning, is far more important than being “right” in this scenario.
