Overall, how would you describe your experience at Costain?
I really enjoyed my time working with Costain. During the year I was there, I had the opportunity to work across two different pathways subcontractor technical assistance and contract manager. Both experiences allowed me to learn new things, develop my skills, and gain a broader understanding of the business.
One thing I strongly believe in is the importance of curiosity. Being curious encourages us to explore new opportunities learn from others, and build new relationships. This mindset gave me the opportunity to expand my network , work on different areas, and take on new challenges throughout my time at Costain.

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
As part of Subcontractor Technical assistance, I particularly enjoyed connecting with quantity surveyors, checking and approving orders, keeping insurances records up to date, and helping o resolve any issues that arose. i enjoyed the practical nature of the role and the opportunity to support the team in keeping things moving smoothly.
As a Contract Manager, I enjoyed working on governance, reviewing and maintaining documentation, and supporting the execution of contracts. This gave me a different perspective and helped me develop a stronger understanding of the commercial and contractual side of the business.
